- What is MCP?
- Model Context Protocol (MCP) is an open standard for connecting AI assistants to external data. The Connector plan gives you an MCP endpoint you can add to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other compatible tools.
- Is my YNAB API key secure?
- Yes. Your YNAB key is stored in GCP Secret Manager — encrypted at rest, never written to our database. It's only decrypted when your AI assistant makes a request.
- Can I switch plans?
- Absolutely. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from the Billing page. Changes take effect immediately.
- What AI model powers the built-in chat?
- Built-in chat uses Claude Haiku, Anthropic's fast and capable model. It has live access to your YNAB data via the same tools as the MCP connector.
- What counts as a message?
- Each question you send to the AI counts as one message. Assistant responses, tool calls, and follow-up questions within one response don't count against your daily limit.
- Do you handle VAT and GST?
- Yes. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who act as merchant of record and handle all international taxes including EU VAT, Australian GST, and others.
